The National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH) was launched on May 31, 2022, as one of three national quantum platforms announced at Asia Tech x Singapore by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat. NQCH is a joint initiative of the Centre for Quantum Technologies at the National University of Singapore, the Institute of High Performance Computing at A*STAR, and the National Supercomputing Centre Singapore. The hub promotes industry collaborations and accelerates advancements in quantum computing technology, research, and applications across Singapore’s quantum ecosystem. NQCH develops quantum computing hardware and middleware, explores applications in finance, supply chain, and chemistry, builds international collaborations, and trains talent in quantum computing. The hub enables Singapore to establish quantum computing infrastructure supporting research institutions, enterprises, and government agencies pursuing quantum advantage for Southeast Asia.
