    Angoka, a Belfast start-up, secures communications between machines, offering field-deployable secure mesh networks for drones, ground vehicles and satellite terminals aimed at defence, ports and emergency services. Its quantum work came through AIRQKD, a £7.7m Quantum Technologies Challenge trial led by BT from November 2020, in which Angoka was one of the start-ups developing ways to carry quantum security to mobile devices for 5G and connected cars.
