Privacy notice

Who is responsible

Hadamard LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Hadamard", "we" or "us"), owns and operates quantum.org.uk and is the controller of personal data processed through it. Contact: info@hadamard2.com. Operator details and Hadamard's group policies are on the legal page; this notice is the one that applies to quantum.org.uk.

What is processed, and why

Search, filters and comparisons run entirely in your browser. What you type into them is not sent anywhere. A copy of fetched news is kept in your browser's session storage for 15 minutes and deleted when you close the tab (see cookies).

What is not collected

• No cookies of any kind (see the cookie notice).
• No analytics, advertising, social media or tracking scripts.
• No accounts, forms or newsletters.

Who receives it

• Google LLC (Firebase Hosting), as our processor. Google may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (the "UK–US data bridge") or, where that does not apply, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to Google's standard contractual clauses.
• The OpenStreetMap Foundation, a UK company, which receives tile requests from the map page under its own privacy policy.
• Quantum Zeitgeist, a Hadamard site, which serves the news feed and article images.

We do not sell, trade or rent personal data. We share it only with the providers above, when the law requires it, or with a buyer if Hadamard's business or this site is sold or merged, in which case this notice would continue to apply.

Security

The site is static, served over HTTPS with security headers, and has no database of visitors. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but there is very little personal data here to protect.

International transfers

Hadamard LLC is based in the United States. Emails you send us are handled there, under UK GDPR safeguards for transfers to the US.

How long it is kept

• Hosting logs: kept by Google for a limited period under its retention settings, typically up to 30 days. We do not keep copies.
• Emails: up to 2 years after your request is closed, so we have a record of what was asked and done. Ask and we will delete sooner unless we need to keep a record of what was asked.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how it is used, or receive a copy in a portable form. Email info@hadamard2.com. We reply within one month.

If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would be grateful for the chance to put it right first.

People named in the directory

Profiles name some people in their public roles, such as founders and directors, drawn from public sources. The rights above apply to that information too.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes too.
