    Company · Ilminster

Gooch & Housego's main quantum products are acousto-optic deflectors and fibre-coupled modulators, sold for neutral-atom quantum computing, sensing and atomic clocks. The company says its AODF 4085 deflectors were cited in Nature papers on systems of 3,000 and 6,100 qubits, and it makes them in its Photonics division, which has UK sites in Torquay and Ashford. In 2020 it joined QT Assemble, a £10m Quantum Technologies Challenge consortium led by Fraunhofer CAP in Glasgow, to develop fibre-coupled acousto-optic and waveguide parts for compact quantum laser systems. It exhibited its quantum range at Optica Quantum 2.0 in Glasgow in June 2026.

Gooch & Housego is a company in Ilminster. It appears as a partner in QEPNT, QT Assemble and QCS.
