Random variations in quantum tunnelling current across a chip's transistors give it a unique fingerprint, and Crypto Quantique's QDID circuit turns that into a device identity and keys that never need storing in flash. The London company, incorporated in 2016, licenses QDID as silicon IP verified on standard CMOS from 55 nm down to 12 nm, and sells the QuarkLink platform for provisioning and managing connected devices. In November 2024 it paired QDID with Finnish firm Xiphera's post-quantum cryptography cores, and the following month it added a true random number generator to the block.
Crypto Quantique is a London company working on post quantum cryptography, quantum security and quantum components, founded in 2016. It is not yet linked to a UK project in this directory. Profiled here: Shahram Mossayebi (Co-Founder and CEO).
