King's Quantum, launched in April 2024 and directed by physicist James Millen, gathers the Strand university's quantum researchers around applications in healthcare, life sciences, security and industry. Much of its project work is applied computing through the NQCC: King's partnered with Capgemini and Airbus on QuantiCo, which modelled corrosion on aluminium alloys, and with Applied Quantum Computing on hybrid models for predicting risk in intensive care. In May 2026 a team led by Eleanor Crane won time on Google Quantum AI's Willow processor, through an NQCC scheme, to study quantum analogues of neurons. King's is also a partner in BT's QAssure project on testing quantum key distribution.

King's College London, in London, appears in four UK quantum projects listed here. It is a partner in 4 UK projects, including IQN, Quantum-Enhanced Clinical Decision Support for Intensive Care Medicine and QAssure.
