Quantum computing work at the Alderley Park drug discovery Catapult centres on QuPharma, a SEEQC-led Innovate UK project that ran from March 2022 to March 2025. The consortium paired a SEEQC quantum computer with a classical supercomputer to model drug properties, and the Catapult's job, alongside Merck and the University of Oxford, was to find the stages of drug discovery where a quantum computer could actually help. Gateway to Research shows it received a full grant of £243,588.
Medicines Discovery Catapult, based in Alderley Park, is a research organisation. It appears as a partner in QuPharma.
