SEEQC UK
Company · London
UK arm of SEEQC, maker of superconducting digital control chips for qubits, which led the QuPharma drug-discovery quantum computing project.
A SEEQC-led consortium linking a quantum computer with a classical supercomputer to model drug properties.
Project data last updated 11 October 2026
QuPharma ran from March 2022 to March 2025. Merck was the end user. STFC's Hartree Centre, its Scientific Computing Department and the National Quantum Computing Centre took part.
The stated aim was to speed up parts of drug development by a factor of ten. The first focus was simulation tools for photodynamic cancer therapies.

Vlatko Vedral is Professor of Quantum Information Science at the University of Oxford, a Serbian-born physicist who has spent three decades asking what entanglement is and what it can do. Entanglement is the link that lets two particles share one quantum state. As a PhD student in London he helped f

From bits to qubits, converting classical information now accounts for circuit size, depth and resource needs previously overlooked in theoretical designs. This comprehensive survey moves beyond abstract concepts to examine techniques applicable to real-world datasets like sparse matrices and Boolea
