    Company · Oxford

Founded in April 2020 out of Oxford's physics department, Quantum Dice started with quantum random number generators built on DISC, a protocol that checks the security of its output continuously as it runs. Its focus has since widened to probabilistic computing: ORBIT, a photonic p-bit processor for optimisation problems, was the target of a €2m EIC Accelerator grant in December 2025. In the UK it is a partner in the Integrated Quantum Networks hub, began working with NATS on air traffic management in March 2026, and in September 2026 reported modelled results from Project PROTECT, an emergency-vehicle deployment study with North Wales Police.

Quantum Dice, based in Oxford, is a company whose work covers quantum hardware; it was founded in 2020. It appears as a partner in IQN. Profiled here: George Dunlop (Co-Founder and Director of Partnerships).
