    SemiWise

    Start-up · Glasgow

Classical chips stop behaving as designed when cooled towards the temperatures qubits need, and SemiWise builds the transistor models that let designers plan for that. The Glasgow firm, run by Professor Asen Asenov, released cryogenic SPICE models for GlobalFoundries' 22FDX process in November 2022. It was a partner in the sureCore-led cryo-CMOS consortium funded by the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund from November 2021 to March 2025, receiving a £551,587 grant offer alongside SEEQC, Universal Quantum and the University of Glasgow.

SemiWise is a start-up in Glasgow. It is a partner in 1 UK project: Development of cryo-CMOS to enable the next generation of scalable quantum computers.
