    Completed Consortium

Development of cryo-CMOS to enable the next generation of scalable quantum computers

A sureCore-led consortium designing chip technology that works at the very low temperatures inside quantum computers.

Project data last updated 11 October 2026

    About this project

The project ran from November 2021 to March 2025. Most qubits need cryogenic cooling, and the control electronics must sit close to them. Standard chips are not designed for these temperatures.

The consortium worked on cryogenic CMOS design tools and building blocks so that control electronics can be placed next to large qubit arrays.
