Post-quantum key exchange small enough to run on a SIM card is Cavero Secure's main pitch, sold as the CaveroCore software library with a key-exchange module (CaveroKEX) and a protocol that re-verifies a device's identity at every exchange (CaveroCTX). It is classical cryptography designed to resist quantum attack, born from quantum information research at the University of Leeds by Professor Ben Varcoe and Dr Frey Wilson. Formerly Cavero Quantum, the Leeds company raised a £2.2m seed round led by Foresight in June 2024, joined the GSMA in May 2026 and closed a further $2.5m round in September 2026.
Cavero Secure is a Leeds start-up working on post quantum cryptography, quantum security and cybersecurity, founded in 2020. No project in this directory lists it yet. People profiled here include Ben Varcoe (Co-Founder) and Frey Wilson (Co-Founder and CTO).
