Satellite quantum key distribution is a core product line at this Glasgow space engineering firm, which sells a BB84 QKD payload sized for a 6U CubeSat and a matching single photon source. Craft Prospect leads OPS-SAT VOLT, a joint ESA ScyLight mission of about €12 million announced in May 2023, which will fly its QKD hardware alongside optical communications and hyperspectral imaging on a 16U satellite. In September 2026 its team passed the first operations qualification test for the mission control centre, running part of a QKD demonstration on a ground emulator. It is a project partner in the Integrated Quantum Networks hub.
