BAE Systems Quantum

Company · London

For BAE Systems, UK quantum work is mostly about sensing and navigation for military aircraft. In May 2024 it joined Infleqtion and QinetiQ in UKRI-funded flight trials of quantum navigation aboard an RJ100 test aircraft at MoD Boscombe Down, and since 2020 it has run an Advanced Sensing Technologies Consortium with the University of Birmingham. Its Advanced Technology Centre is a partner in the QEPNT navigation hub, and the company also worked with Aegiq and the NQCC on QTA-Foil, a SparQ study of what quantum computing could do for aerofoil design.

BAE Systems Quantum is a London company working on quantum sensing, communications and qkd. It is a partner in 5 UK projects, including QCi3, QEPNT and QuSIT.
