    Funded by a £22 million EPSRC grant running from December 2024 to November 2029, QuSIT is the national research hub for quantum sensors, cameras and clocks, led by Michael Holynski at the University of Birmingham with Glasgow's Miles Padgett as a science co-director. It brings together two earlier hubs, Sensors and Timing and the QuantIC imaging hub, and counts about 250 researchers working on uses from brain imaging to mapping buried infrastructure. In September 2026 it shared £774,000 from its Accelerating Capability Fund among applied projects, including a UCL-led study adapting OPM-MEG brain scanning for autistic children with epilepsy.

    QuSIT, based in Birmingham, is a research organisation whose work covers quantum sensing, imaging and navigation; it was founded in 2024. No project in this directory lists it yet.
