Vodafone's quantum work splits between protecting its networks and testing quantum computers on network design. At MWC in March 2025 it showed IBM's quantum-safe cryptography added to Vodafone Secure Net, its smartphone security service. In June 2025 it began trying ORCA Computing's PT-2 photonic processor on fibre network planning, solving a Steiner Tree problem with support from the UK Quantum Technology Access Programme. Vodafone was also a partner in Xairos UK's TimeLink project, which finished phase one of Innovate UK's quantum navigation and timing mission in May 2026.

Vodafone, based in Newbury, is a company whose work covers quantum communications and security; it was founded in 1984. It is a partner in 1 UK project: IQN.
