Zero Point Motion makes accelerometers and gyroscopes that combine silicon photonics with MEMS, borrowing principles from gravitational-wave detectors, and says they are about 100 times more sensitive than conventional MEMS sensors. Founded by Ying Lia Li, the Bristol company has had lab space at the University of Bristol's Quantum Technologies Innovation Centre since 2022. It raised a £4m pre-Series A in March 2025 from Science Creates Ventures, Foresight Group and Verve Ventures, with u-blox staying on as a partner and customer, after £1.3m from the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles in 2023 and a €2.4m EIC Accelerator grant.
