    Company · Paignton

Bay Photonics packages photonic chips and optoelectronic parts, bonding dies and wires, aligning fibres, sealing packages hermetically and testing them at the Electronics and Photonics Innovation Centre in Paignton, Devon. Its main quantum project was PADME (November 2022 to May 2024), a £384,000 Innovate UK feasibility study with the universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde to package a photonic-chip source of entangled photon pairs. It has also been a partner in UK quantum key distribution projects, including BT's AIRQKD and RedWave Labs' MARCONI receiver consortium, and is a project partner of the Integrated Quantum Networks hub.

Bay Photonics is a Paignton company working on quantum components, photonics and qkd, founded in 2007. It is a partner in 6 UK projects, including IQN, QEPNT and MARCONI.
