    For Cambridge Innovation Capital, quantum mostly means Riverlane, the Cambridge company building error-correction systems for quantum computers. CIC co-led Riverlane's £3.25m seed round in June 2019, joined its $75m Series C in August 2024, and made it one of the first two investments from its £100m Opportunity Fund, launched in February 2025 with Aviva Investors and British Patient Capital as anchor backers. The University of Cambridge-linked investor also holds photonic computing firm Salience Labs. In July 2026 it hired Ilana Wisby, founding chief executive of Oxford Quantum Circuits, as an entrepreneur in residence to look at practical uses for quantum computing.

    Cambridge Innovation Capital is a Cambridge investor working on quantum software and hardware, founded in 2013. It is not yet linked to a UK project in this directory.
