The British drugmaker's most concrete UK quantum computing work is an NQCC proof of concept led by Capgemini UK, which used Hamiltonian simulation to build a "quantum fingerprint" for predicting how reactive the warheads of targeted covalent drugs are, tested so far mostly on simulators. GSK was also a project partner in the Oxford-led Quantum Computing and Simulation Hub (2019 to 2024). Its public quantum messaging has since shifted to defence: chief information security officer Michael Elmore argued in May 2026 that crypto-agility is needed now because encrypted data is already being harvested for later decryption.

GSK, based in London, is a company whose work covers quantum pharma, optimisation and machine learning; it was founded in 2020. It appears as a partner in QCS.
