EPSRC is funding a single national centre to teach quantum researchers at every career stage how to protect intellectual property, form spin-outs and work with industry and investors. The call offered up to £11.3m over four years for a lead university or consortium, with training, placements and an early-stage research accelerator in scope; UKRI's March 2026 quantum package put the figure at £12m. Applications closed in July 2026, interviews are due in October 2026 and the award must start on 1 December 2026, so no host has yet been named.
