Rigetti UK
Company · London
UK subsidiary of Rigetti Computing running a 24-qubit superconducting testbed at the NQCC and a £3.5m error-correction project with Riverlane.
A Rigetti UK-led consortium that installed and ran a superconducting quantum computer in the UK and offered it over the cloud.
Project data last updated 11 October 2026
The three-year project was announced in September 2020. Rigetti UK assembled and operated the system, hosted with Oxford Instruments in Abingdon. Oxford Instruments supplied the dilution refrigerator.
The University of Edinburgh worked on testing and verifying quantum programs, and on quantum machine learning for finance with Standard Chartered. Phasecraft worked on near-term applications in materials and chemistry.
