Rolls-Royce comes to quantum as a user, asking whether future machines can speed up the fluid dynamics simulations behind gas turbine design. In June 2026 it and Classiq slotted a quantum linear solver into a classical CFD code for flow through a nozzle, cutting quantum resource needs more than tenfold against an earlier method. In July 2026 it began a multi-year project with Quantinuum, Riverlane and EPCC in Edinburgh to test hybrid quantum and supercomputer workflows on Quantinuum's Helios. It was also end user in Universal Quantum's Innovate UK-funded error-corrected processor consortium.

Rolls-Royce, based in London, is a company; it was founded in 1906. It appears as a partner in QCi3, Developing an error corrected quantum processor solution for commercial quantum computing and QCS.
