OQC makes superconducting quantum computers at Thames Valley Science Park in Reading, using its Coaxmon chip architecture and, in its newest GENESIS system, dual-rail Dimon qubits that flag their own errors. Its 32-qubit Toshiko machines sit in colocation data centres in the UK, Spain and Japan and are offered through OQC Cloud. In June 2026 it closed a £260m Series C led by Bullhound Capital, anchored by a £100m commitment from the British Business Bank. At home it is a partner in the Oxford-led QCi3 research hub, and a SparQ project with Citi and the NQCC tested quantum-compressed neural networks for pricing derivatives.
Oxford Quantum Circuits is a Reading company working on superconducting qubits, quantum hardware and quantum cloud, founded in 2017. In this directory it leads QPINN and is a partner in 5 more. People profiled here include Gerald Mullally (CEO) and Peter Leek (Founder and CSO).
