Project data last updated 11 October 2026
QuantIC was the quantum imaging hub of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme. Phase 2 began in December 2019, led by the University of Glasgow with Bristol, Edinburgh, Exeter, Heriot-Watt, Imperial, Strathclyde and Southampton. Professor Steve Beaumont was director at the 2019 announcement, and Professor Miles Padgett is principal investigator on the grant.
The hub worked on new kinds of cameras and imaging, such as single-photon and quantum-enhanced imaging. Its work continues in the QuSIT hub.
